Is acupuncture covered by insurance?

In order to make acupuncture and Chinese Medicine accessible, I accept and bill insurance. I am an in network provider for a number of health insurance carriers including:

  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • Kaiser
  • Health Net
  • Aetna
  • Providence
  • Auto insurance (for injury recovery)

It’s always a good idea to verify insurance coverage before your visit. Contact me, and I can verify your insurance for you.

I’ll always do my best to verify your insurance coverage, but please be aware that this does not always guarantee payment by your insurance company. Ultimately you are responsible for any charges that are not covered by your insurance.

If you don’t have insurance that covers acupuncture, I offer a discount for patients that pay at the time of their visit, and also offer community treatments in a group setting once a week at a reduced cost. Currently those rates are:

$85.00 for initial visit which includes a health assessment, acupuncture treatment and other modalities (moxa, cupping, tuina massage) as needed.

$65.00 for follow up acupuncture treatments

$20.00 for community (group) acupuncture
